Pepper Plant Question?

I have planted 4 peper plants that I have grown from seeds. They look super healthy and strong. However on two of them the main stems are almost black if not black. They seem to be a very very dark green. Is this normal? I will take pictures and upload them when I can.

Thanks

The entire stems? or just where the branches split off? How much are you watering, what type of soil/fertilizers used? PICS!!!

It is the stem the ones that branch off are fine. I am using a mixture of composted manure, top soil and peat moss. I used the miracle grow transplant mixture before and I just recently used the miracle grow shake and feed mixture which I think is 12-10-12 but I am probably wrong.

I should get pictures tomorrow.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem, at the "V", where the branch branches off from the main stem. I asked about this on a previous post, and was told that it was normal. My bell and hot cherry peppers are all flowering and there are a few bells just starting to form.
Good Luck!

yeah, a couple people told me that some of the pepper plants just do that. I wonder if its a varietal thing.

Thanks for the input though.

Here are some pictures of the stems just in case anyone notices anything wrong.

But as you can see they look healthy. (Peppers are in front of the tomatoes.)
