Question about Bonsai Fertilizer

Hello. I'm also new to bonsai and I have some Questions I cant seem to find an answer to so maybe you can help. Here's my story. I saw a these for sale on the side of the road on a vacation trip so I impulsively bought one. the guy stuck this
in the pot and said when I get home to water it by placing it in water just above the surface of the soil till it stops bubbling. So about two hours later I did water it and the bottle of fertilizer was empty. Since then its been 3 days and ive kept it outside in the sun and brought it in at night.

My questions are is the yellow and brown coloring ok? Any info is appreciated. thanks

The pics are hard to see. Are you talking about the needles turning yellow/brown? This is normal for Junipers, but not in a good way as it presages their failure. Are you keeping it indoors or outdoors?

Yes I'm asking about the coloring and as I said I keep it outside in the daytime and by an open window at night. Another question I had was how long should it take for that bottle of fertilizer to empty? The soil sucked it dry in about two hours. Also if there is a problem how do I fix this? thanks.

Also, I was wonder exactly what it means to "pinch off new growth"? Does this mean to just cut it or it there a special tool to "pinch"?

You really should not bring it in at all, even for the 8-12 hours of "night". Junipers really, really don't do well indoors. Pinching is exactly that, pinch any new (unwanted) growth off between the nails of your thumb and index finger (or whatever works for you). Using a scissor, knife, or other implement will tend to cause the tips to turn brown. Pinching avoids this type of browning.
