Ok long story short. When I lived in a condo I had limited space to garden so for my cukes I set up 12 foot tall stakes and tied them to the home so they could grow up instead of sprawling across the ground and it worked amazingly and the yields were great. Now I have a LOT more room and a lot more plants I was wondering if I should let the cukes grow on the ground wherever they want to or if I should build a temporary structure to send them sky high? Do I need to place anything under the actual cukes while they are forming on the vine that is growing on the ground?
Thanks for the help folks!
