What shrub could this be...

Hey y'all!
A year or two back I bough a cheap bush / shrub (or possibly tree? :roll: ) at a farmer fair. I used to know the name but as always I forgot :oops:

Anyone know what this could possibly be?

Hmmmm....looks like a mix between Eunymus and weigela. :?

How about an Abelia Grandiflora? it looks similar to my 'Confetti' variety. The stems have that redish hue I'm seeing in your photo as well.

Nope, not that, Pinksand. The leaves are quite similar, but not the flowers...

That bud looks like Hypericum

Thank you! It is a Hypericum! (Hypericum moseranum 'Tricolor'). :)
Any suggestions about how to prune it?

Mine in the garden is hacked about with a pair of shears...doesn't seem to worry it.
