New plant

image.jpg
This year I found a nice looking plant close to an overgrown cedar stump. I wonder what it could be and if I should try to transplant it into a bed. So far the many deer visiting our place have not touched it which is unusual. No blooms on the plant.

The leaves look like that but so far it does not have flowers. If it really is Daphne laureola I suppose I should eradicate it? Looked it up on the internet and it is invasive.
Thanks for your answer.

Don't take my word for it. There are others here who will probably be more certain.

This morning a mother deer and spotted baby scrutinized that plant and never touched it. That makes me think that it really is that invasive plant which is poisonous to people and animals.
