Mystery plant?

Hi! My friend is having an issue identifying the species of this plant. It looks kind of similar to mint, but has no odor and is missing the soft/scrunchy leafy aspect to it. any ideas?

These things grow wild behind a building where I work, Its in a city ally. I believe there just a weed.

Yeah. I should have mentioned that I live in Georgia, in the US. We were just wondering what it was to better prevent it.

Hmmm ..... there's an edible weed called quickweed that is pretty similar, but I'm thinking a bit more coarsely toothed...

Does yours get tiny, inconspicuous daisy like flowers at the top?

Compare to Acalypha, maybe 3-seeded Mercury (Acalypha rhomboidea.)

I believe it is the Acalypha rhomboidea, due to its leaf structure. it seems to be the culprit. Thank you very much!

This stuff grows all over the place in the great lakes area, definitely as a weed. I've always wondered what it was. Thanks for the post and the ID.
