Need some help identifying this plant

I reside in SE PA and I have this plant that I can't ID. My husband and I moved in to this house in September and when we moved in, this had bloomed and was just starting to die off. When it flowers, it has purple flowers that grow on long stalks. It attracted lots of bees and butterflies when it was in bloom.

Help me please!

Are the leaves fleshy? Because it looks like a hardy succulent in the Sedum family. They flower in early Autumn, & a number of varieties have pinkish/purplish blooms. Do a websearch on "Autumn Joy" sedum & see if anything resembles what you have. It's a nice easy-going perennial.

Awesome! Flowers are definitely purple but I looked up the Autumn Joy sedum and found a pic of the plant blooming that looks just like what I have.

I would have never guessed it and I've been searching this for a month now lol

You're very welcome. I only recognized it because my grandmother grew one that was then inherited by my mom, & I remember it well from decades of watching it bloom (it's very long-lived). In fact, I just bought one myself that I'll be planting out soon.

Definitely looks like Autumn Joy sedum to me-I have one that blooms red. I didn't know there was one that bloomed purple. Nice!
