English Ivy In a Pot

It's a normal nursery-sized pot and I dug up an English Ivy and put it in. Any ideas for care?

Tie it up on a stake. And prune at the second leaf to each branch. Repeat as needed. In a year or two you will end up with a roughly elm shaped vine able to stand up on its own.

often a starter tree for young bonsai hobbyists. If it has a failing you are going to prune it 4 to 10 a year forever.

Ok, thanks! I will use a wooden skewer for my stake (it is that short for now).

Ivy has first new fuzzy growth! Should I pinch?
