My Teaspoon Collection

I wondered if anyone maybe collects anything?. :D

I have a collection of 357 Teaspoons  as can be seen. Some I collected myself, and lots were very kindly bought for me from family and friends, when they went away on their holidays. Of course I am very grateful to them. :D

If anyone is slightly bored, you can always come and visit, lend a hand to polish them all.

My father has a much more modest teaspoon collection in two shadow boxes, and one of them showcases a 4 o'clock tea time tea scoop that might look like the ones you have.

His has a teapot on the top and an etched clockface showing 4 o'clock inside the spoon.

My partner and I did start a tradition just a few years ago of buying a Christmas ornament as a souvenir when we are on trips, the ones that are either labeled or symbolic of/ traditional to the locale. That only adds up to a few so far. But it means that when we are putting ornaments on the tree we are reminded of those trips.

That is a lovely thought, such pleasure for you both looking back to your times out rainbowgardener. :D
I never thought eventually my family and friends would think of adding to my collection. It was though nice for them seeing the ones they so kindly brought back for me, on the wall.

Quite a talking piece too when anyone comes to visit. :D I tend to lean them towards the Silvo and dusters - when they all need polishing again - while I am making them a cup of tea.

I never in a million years would have thought I would eventually have so many.

Last year a friend of my friend, who works in house clearances, came across a box of teaspoons, in an elderly lady's attic. He asked her relative what she would like to do with them. Seems she didn't want them. Word got around as my friend heard about these, and they were given to her for me. I was so grateful. :D

I think soon my walls will need to be reinforced.  I use a lot of Blu-Tac to stick them on the wall. :D
