Impatient to Start Gardening

My impatience has won out over logic, so despite still being below freezing with snow on the ground, I have decided to start a few plants inside in order to quell my cabin fever.

As the seeds sprout and grow I will update with more pictures.

Doesn't seem impatient to me at all, seems like you waited a really long time. NJ has a pretty similar climate to mine (I know because one of our moderators, applestar, is in NJ and we've been sharing gardening info here for years). It looks like all of NJ has average last frost dates in April:

I start peppers indoors end of Jan (hot peppers) or first week in Feb (bell peppers). They are slow growing.

Spinach I usually just direct seed in the ground as soon as the ground can be worked, but this year I did start a little inside in mid Jan. Those plants will go in the ground probably next weekend, along with some seed. It is very frost tolerant.

Congratulations on the baby to come! :D

Thanks!

I would also like to post a quick video update on the experiment I started today.

Just a photo update today... no video.

I noticed that some of my starter seeds were finally sprouting:

So I began transplanting them into plastic cups. Yes, they are a little small to be moved, but the starter greenhouse they were in isn't very tall. They would be hitting the roof of it in just a few more days.

I will continue to update as more seeds sprout and the seedlings continue to grow.
