Hi all,
The novice new englander is back.
Any help is much appreciated recognizing these 2.
There are 2 of these trees in my yard that blossomed these purple flowers a couple weeks ago -
This one might be a bit harder (mostly because I couldn't get a great shot). We have these raspberry bushes in the backyard and these plants were growing all over them and overtaking them. I thought it was a weed but then noticed these berries seemed to be growing from them. Any ideas?
Thanks all!

Watch out for rose of Sharon - it will send up shoots all over the place.
I have a two tone RoS. My neighbor has a pink RoS she planted on her side of our shared driveway. I have a white RoS I planted on my side of the driveway. But her pink one sent up a shoot right in the middle of my plant and now I have an RoS that blooms in pink and white. I thought it was very cool, so I left it and each year there is more pink mixed in with my white RoS blooms.
