You posted this in the Bonsai Forum. Were you thinking this has anything to do with bonsai trees?

Where are you located and what kind of area is this stuff in? Is it something you planted or it just came up on its own?

I am located In Scotland and it just seems to be everywhere atm and I didnt plant it

I have been looking and asking around but cant seem to get an answer as of yet

I'm just about sure this doesn't have anything to do with bonsai or accent plants displayed with bonsai.

No, just an accident it got put under bonsai. Tommy - we have a plant identification section under Gardening Etcetera. If you re do your post there, you will probably get more help. It would also help if you could add another picture to show what kind of leaves this stuff has.

Can you post a pic from farther away? I am wondering if it is a marshy area, as my first thought was some sort of cattail, but the brown top parts (I don't know what they're called) is too short.
