First Sticky, then White-Spots... Is it dying?

From what I can get from all the posts on here I think my poor bonsai has spider mites... Is there anything I can do? the leaves are dying, but the plant is still very much alive. How do I kill these things?? I want my poor baby to be good again.. Do these bugs affect other trees? Should I move it away from other plants? PLEASE SEND HELP FAST!! MY TREE IS SICK SICK SICK!

becciclip,

Yes and yes.

To verify that you do have Spider Mites get a piece of paper and hold it under the foliage and then tap or shake the tree. Look for little moving dots.

Spider Mites dislike moisture so the first thing I would do is to hose them off the tree trying to dislodge them physically.

A dormant oil or insecticidal soap can be used as well.

Becciclip,

Please read
the links Gnome was kind enough to post for you.

It's obvious you have not done that as the title alone of the first thread he linked to answers the above question.

You will find that most any garden center will have it.

If by that you mean to inquire about Dormant Oils, as opposed to Neem Oil, they are lightweight oils that in the past were only applied during the dormant season. Modern products might more appropriately be described as Horticultural Oils, of which Neem Oil is but one. Here is an article that describes these products in more detail.
