Using sump pump water to water garden

I wondered if anyone knows wether I can use the sump pump water that comes from the house to water my plants. It is just groung water so I figured it should be ok but I thought I better see if anyone else does it.
Thanks

I don't think that it would be a problem. People use greywater systems and that works fine so, I wouldn't think that your sump pump water would be detrimental to the plants.

You might want to check with your local municipality bylaws on using the water though.
