Hybrid Teas budding like Floribunda

I currently have nothing but hybrid tea roses in my garden - Double Delight, Mrister Lincoln, Tropicana, to name a few. When I make cuttings, I always make sure to do so just above the branch that has 5 leaves. However, every one of my hybrid teas have multiple blooms on each branch. What gives? All of these are established, quality plants (Jackson & Perkins). Please help! :?

Seems likely that the winter killed your top grafted hybrid tea and you are growing understock now (Seen a LOT of that this year...)

I live in the Seattle, Washington area and we have mild winters. The flowers that are blooming are beautiful, and there doesn't seem to be any damage to the plants. I recently read another tip, on another website, that it is common for hybrid teas to have multiple blooms and if I want all the plant's energy to go to one big bloom, per branch, that I cut off the smaller buds as soon as they appear. What do you think about this? How can I get my hybrid teas to bloom just one per branch again, or can I?

The pruning down to one is easily done. Did you prune earlier in season? I am suprised at the multiple blooms as we rarely see that here at the nursery; ocassionally two or three on a branch but they don't flower all at once...
