Woo Hoo! Its raining!
Sure glad to be finally getting some rain. It has been so dry here. About half an inch here so far today. I know that ain't much compared to what some of you get when it rains, but you have to remember this is a desert. Its still coming.

Yay!
I always love that feeling of collective "Ahhhhh" from all of the plants I see... And extending the feeling to the birds and animals and all living things.
When we had an extended drought and finally got some real rain, I had a fantasy conversation with my kids about how some of the baby birds and animals born earlier in the season had NEVER experienced rain in their entire little lives.
Baby Bird: Mama, what's happening? What's that stuff falling from the sky?
Mama Bird: Remember the stories I told you about rain?
Baby Bird: It's, it's... What is this feeling? It feels good!
Baby Bird2: It's called "wet." Mama said so in the stories.
Baby Bird3: Lemme feel! Oooh, it's shiny.

Ha Ha when I first saw this topic and while reading your first post. I could see in your head "Thank God It's rain and not snow yet" but that thought didn't last long did it?jal_ut wrote:I got up to this this morning October 23, 2012

I can't wait for snow, if we even get any this year worth actually calling snow.
