Not bagging grass - bad?

Hi all,
I have a question about leaving lawn clippings on the yard. I've never bagged them because I find it a pain (I have a big yard) and it looks just fine without bagging them so long as it isn't wet. My question is, is this bad to let the clippings just go back to the lawn?

it's good to leave the clippings in the yard.

hopefully with a mulching type mower . . . but leaving the clippings cuts the (added) nitrogen demand by about 50%

Hi Firefighter

Yes, leaving clippings is good, its call grasscycling.

Although its a healthy soil that will break it down, so its important that the microbes are active. Check your soil PH and adjust so that its in a neutral range.
