looking for pearl onion seeds for pickling..

I really want to get into canning/pickling this year, already have my pint ball jars and this week I'm going to get my quart ball jars. I'm looking for pearl onion seeds.. anyone have any they can spare?

I would just get a bag of pearl onions and plant them.

But I'm curious, aren't they just small white onions? -- I never thought about it before Hmm... Now you gave me an idea -- maybe I'll plant some of those Italan cippolini onions.... (if I have any unreserved space left in the garden that is.... :roll: ). I wonder if they are long day or short day onions....

to be honest, I never planted any bulbs or anything (except potato quarters - which didn't work out at all..).. always been seeds.. I'll have to try some bulbs at some point...

If they ARE just white onions, right now, most places (yes, even big box stores) would have generic red, white and yellow onion sets (tiny bulbs). You could just plant them close to prevent them from getting very big.
