All right, who spilled the Perlite?

Will this reflect the light and help the veggies grow strong.

You may be surprised that snow refleted light helps a greenhouse with light intensity for plants!

Aw. Looks nice though.
I can't remember, the greenhouse is the far 1/2 of the larger structure on the left correct? The structure on the right is the Duck House with the fig and the pond on the other side?

Jeff,
I have some lettuce and pea shoots, but they are about done. I also rescued some chard and planted them in 6" pots.

My onion seed arrived about a week ago. I will be starting them in the propagation chamber by the weekend. With this weather it seems a little early. :?

Apple,

We had some nice perlite. And then....40 mph winds blew it all away.

Literally! No melting, just blown clean away! We think it is piled up in the next county, LOL!

White is purity in the world but in gardening would you say green or brown depending if you are a composter or not?

Last night It started snowing like crazy, then sometime during the night it warmed up and turned to rain. Now its still raining and the snow is melting. The ground is frozen so the water won't go down and its running off. We got over an inch of water out of it so there is a good possibility of flooding in some areas. It won't be a problem here thankfully, but look out downstream. Too bad the ground is frozen, it would be good if that water went into our soil.

James,

AccuWeather.com

Here it's currently about 27 and it's warming up a degree per hour. Around 9:00 am tomorrow, we should have rain. They are forcasting close to an inch of rain. We are in for a soupy mess.

Its 49 degrees and the sun is shining. The snow is mostly gone, but there is still water running off. Seems weird, it is January after all. We would expect to be in a deep freeze this time of year.

My bees appreciate the January thaw. They are out flying today.

Well, Here we are it's 11:15am and it's still around freezing. The 9:00am rain now looks like early evening rain. It's not warming up as fast as they thought. :P They are still saying .89" of rain on the way. :(
