Compost

Is there a certain type or brand of compost that my local garden center would sell thats good to use for spreading over my lawn regularly? I want to start going organic with my lawn care.

Ideally you would start making your own compost! You can buy compost, but I think nothing is quite as good as your own homemade compost (and free too!).

We have a whole compost forum/ section here, which you can browse for ideas about how to get started. If you start now, you could have some compost available for your spring application!

Thanks for the info, I'm not ready to start making my own compost yet. Is there a certain type or brand that my local garden center might carry that I should use for topdressing my lawn? I'm sure there are many types but not sure is some are better than others for topdressing?
