What is this flower?

I planted it... grew it... but cannot remember what it is. And my Aunt wants to know so she can attempt to grow it.

I have a couple of ideas, but would rather see the whole plant, close-up of leaves as well, and the flower in context with the stem and leaves to be sure. Don't want to send you on a wild goose chase....

I cannot post anymore pics of it unfortunately since it has since died :-(

It was a really long week of 115+ degrees and well... I'm new to this.

Thx for the tip on photo #2, DDF. It shot down my theory of primula pretty thoroughly; the leaves were incorrect.

I'll keep thinking about it....

Looks really nice, but I don't know what it is though.

Could it be a calendula?
