Jalapeno plant over winter?

Hi all,

I had a rabbit eat a jalapeno plant this past June and it snapped the stem off from the base of the plant. So, being the green thumb that I am, I stuck the plant in a small container of dirt and lots of water and hoped for the best. Sometime over the summer it REALLY took off laying roots.

It's growth was obviously very stunted so it's still a small plant.

Anyways, I thought I'd bring the plant inside and see what happens.

Anyone that can impart some experience/knowledge?

you can do it, I overwinter peppers every year.

Yes, jalapeños are exceptionally forgiving. Just be sure to provide plenty of light unless kept dormant, and watch out for aphids.

I'm thinking about overwintering one of my jals as well, so maybe we can compare notes in the spring/summer and see how it goes .

Apps, did you overwinter last year, and are you going to overwinter any this year?

Beware the fungus gnats. They went on a rampage and killed everything I brought in last year and then settled into killing some seedlings I had propagated. I'm not going to try it again. My heart is still broken over having lost my precious Frankenchile
