Help! What is growing in my garden??

I planted quite a bit of stuff in our small garden (tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, eggplant) and everything is doing fine.

However, there is also something else growing, and I am not sure what it is yet. Is it weeds? Is it....watermelon? (I did plant some watermelon seeds in the vicinity of this plant, but I can't tell if that's what it is).

Help! Is it something that I should let continue to grow, or is it a weed that I should pull out? As you can tell, it's already taking over the flowers, and latching on to everything in its sight.

Has the look of a melon.

Beware: the plant grows along the ground in all directions and all along the way it reaches out with those little vine-like appendages making it diffuclut to move without damaging the plant a little, I.e. if you need to move it to mow the lawn or whatever...

Also the plant itself is somewhat like a vine in that I had one climb a fence -- about 18" up. Wasn't a problem until a melon started grown up on the fence; I had to rig something to support it.

I have one of them growing out of a flower pot a bird once used as a nest. Pretty cool.

Looks like those marigolds are going to lose their sunlight very soon....
