BTW-There is absolutely no such thing as a 'bonsai specific' fert [Or seeds for that matter.]
Fert is simply that, Fert.
Do note also that if your tree is still in the development stages you are better off not letting it flower or fruit as this process uses a lot of resources that the tree could use for growth.
How about a picture?

its an ok pic
How long have you had this tree?
I see there is some green growing in the pot, It is best to remove the ground cover/weeds as they compete w/ your tree for water, Nutrients and root space.
Are you having unusually warm weather in wales for this time of year?
Or...Are you keeping this inside?
I am a bit confused by the contrast between the tree [Which looks bare, As it should be due to being dormant this time of year in your location.] And the fresh green growth coming out of the soil,,,,:?:
Crabs are deciduous and require a dormancy. [An extended period of shortened light and colder temps, Outside is the proper place for this.]
The health of the tree requires this.
Here's a bit about winter care/dormancy:

Here is a bit specifically about Crabs:

I didn't mean to through so much info at you...lol.
but there's some stuff going on in the picture I find confusing.
Looking forward to your answers.
