Best beets for Florida?

I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on the best beets to grow in the central Florida area. I'm going to plant in Oct or Nov, and have had mixed results in the past.

Check with you county extention office, most states with a strong agricultural base keep track of which types of what vegetable grow best there. The key to beets once you get them up is to grow them as fast as you can. That is they require more water then most people think. Beets can be a little fickle you can plant 2 rows, 1 week apart and one will go gang busters and the other will languish because you hit the weather patterns just wrong.

That makes perfect sense when I look at the past performance of my beets! I'm going to keep trying, because fresh beets are delicious! Thank you for the advice!
