container with holes

While searching around on the web, I found some containers (hanging baskets, window boxes etc) that not only had the typical drainage hole on the bottom but holes in the pot on the sides. Plants are placed in each hole to create a fuller and longer hanging display. I didn't mark them, can anyone help me relocate them? Has anyone ever tried these or made one yourself? How did it work out?
