runner beans

ive heard that its possilbe to keep this years (runner bean) roots and plant them again for next season,is this true :?:

Scarlett Runner roots are very large, I have tried using them as food but, they are very spicey. In theory, you could store them in a damp place (and or) just leave them in the soil and see what happens.

Though, it is easier just to leave some of the beans on the vine to dry and save the seeds that way.

Runner beans are perennials. You can dig up your runner bean roots and plant them in your greenhouse for an early spring crop.

Hmm that sound great I will give both suggestions a go looking forward to an early crop of runners
