Brain fart, pepper question.

I'm having a brain fart, what is it called again when the pepper starts getting those crusty-ish streak starting from the bottom going up? I think it's a sign of whn it can be picked.

Crusty streaks? This sounds to me like you peppers are sunburnt Franco. I would pick them before this happens. Do you have any pictures for us?
