help identifying odd flower:)

this is a plant my sister inherited when she transplanted a bunch of iris from an old homestead. it looks like a day lily but it has the foliage of an iris.
it blooms like an iris as well. not like a lily on a separate tall thin stalk. the stem comes from a leaf like an iris.
I can't find any lilies on the internet that looks anything like this.
she said it bloomed and then got seed pods on it, she planted the seeds and they are coming up.
I would appreciate any help here:)

Perhaps it's a Blackberry Lily (Belamcanda chinensis).

Only because I've grown them myself in the past. Flowers and succulents are almost all I grow anymore.

after you gave me the name ofBelamcanda chinensis, blackberry lily. I ran a google on it and found out that it is called a lily but is actually in the iris family. which makes perfect sense with the leaves and the way it blooms.

it's always great to learn something new:)
