Ok I thought it might be fun to show off your odd shaped vegies, Here's some of mine

Cool photos, thanks! The last time I had anything that oddly shaped was when I grew Husky Red tomatoes. Every once in a while, they put out a double tomato.

BTW, those are lovely red tomatoes you've got there!

LOL we always get weird looking stuff, just wait till we dig up all of the carrots. Yea finally got some matters they are slowly coming on. and man they are so good.

Great pics, HP! Those peppers are really neat, I've never seen that before.

Tell me about the carrots. I think I got more weird ones than normal ones last year :roll:

G5 this is the first time the peppers have done that, I so had to laugh, DH calls them Richard Nixon peppers lol! The carrots this year have behaved them selves so far, we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm sure you'll get at least one odd one to add to your album...it seems like everyone does. I didn't even do carrots this year (poor experience last year and more onions and peppers this year). I'll probably give them a go again next year; I just can't stand knowing that there's a crop that I haven't grown successfully.

Harvest time is just starting to come on for some of us, so we'll have to wait and see what comes about. I'm sure that there will be quite a few oddball vegs this season.

Thus one isn't funny per say just weird. We get some cracked all the time but this is a first.

It looks like you have a combination of radial and concentric cracking. I've mostly been having trouble with concentric cracking (the circles).

You could put faces on them and prop them up for photos. I know how much work you put into your gardening so I am sure you don't have that kind of time, but that photo was great.

You must have some hard ground, Jal, or at least a lot of stones.

I'm just teasin, I've seen the photos of your good ones and they blow mine out of the water (soil). I had so many of those funny ones last year, that I just skipped carrots all together this year and went with more peppers, which I think was a pretty good move.

Jal, that has to be one of the neatest toms I've ever seen! It looks like you could stand it on end and spin it like a top :lol:.

Neither the carrots nor the tom came out of my garden. I just happened to have the camera handy at the riight moment. The carrots were grown on hard ground.

That tom is way cool, I don't know if I could bring myself to eat, but then if I didn't it would just rott anyway.

Stella, you're right! I'm not sure it it would float, though.

I can't take credit for this one as I happened to come across the pic online and thought of this thread....I just had to post it. After all, no one said the veggies had to come from our garden, right? :lol:.

I'm still waiting for someone to post a pic of one of those squashes that is the result of a double flower....those are always a sight.

I think we should make it a rule, where it has to be naturally funny/oddly shaped, no carving (though growing-environment "tweaking" is allowed) :wink:.

Seeing these funny carrots makes me want to go dig mine, we always get a few really funny looking ones. So far of the ones I have dug there are no weird ones.

Hilarious Gardening Moment --

...when a HEART-shaped potato tumbled out of the ground and I was immediately giggling uncontrollably like a crazy person in the garden because I was already imagining everyone's reactions when I posted its picture on the forum later.
