Thanks so much all of you for your input. I did look at more photos online of a Hibiscus syriacus and it may just be that....I think the most odd part is it looks like a mum in buds and plant shape but of course the blossoms don't...and its just now opening up...tons and tons of buds..so not sure why its just now coming out unless it was cut back in the spring and has grown back.
