Tomato Troubles

They are growing like crazy, buy my big beefs and better boys have developed irregular brown spots on their skins. I have been using Neem oil regularly and haven't noticed any bugs. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am not an expert and have only jsut gotten into gardening. But, form what I have found it sounds like tomato blight. Similar to the irish potato famine and all of that. They way to prevent it or deal with it is to use a tomato fungicide or dithane 945. I know you may not be keen on chemicals but I think it is hard to get rid of it.

I think you have to remove effected fruit and make sure you only water soil, don't splash on the leaves. Also, make sure they aren't in a place that it too humid..

good luck :o)

Oh, no! I pray that you're wrong.

Are there any organic methods for dealing with blight?

Hello,

I am not 100%, I read more about the leaves dying. but, the symptons sound the same. From what I have heard if you remove the effected tomatoes and make sure they are not kept in a place that is too humid that should help.. Make sure you do not let is spread..
