"Grub's Mystery Green", 58 days from transplant - first ripe fruit I've taken today. Very compact indeterminate/semi-determinate. Growing in 18 gal. container.
This is my first time ever growing, seeing or tasting "Green When Ripe" variety... All I can say is WOW, absolutely love it! Sweet, fruity, beautiful - to me, looks almost like an apple, full of flavor with just the right amount of acidic taste!
Almost thinking of sprouting another seed to set it in the main garden for a late crop, to have few fresh plants in the fall (when all the current ones will be looking tired/exhausted)...
I do have two more GWR plants in the main garden "Moldovian Green", later maturing fruit, can't wait to see what that one would taste like...
Anyone else have any favorite "Green When Ripe's"? Going to set few more in the garden next year to try:
Aunt Ruby's German Green
And depending how I like the Moldovian, may go back in the garden next year too (along with Grub's)
