New to all of this. I have a new house and the builder put six bushes in front of my house that I want to move to the back. I want to replace them with double knockout roses. I live in zone 5 in northern illinois so what I need to know is when is the best time to transplant theses and plant the new ones.

Before you move the bushes, you might want to ID them, unless you already know what they are. Then you can make sure that the light exposure, soil, drainage, etc. in the back of your property are appropriate for the bushes. Just a suggestion.
