Can someone help identify this great shrub

Hello, I live in the California High Desert Area, and am having a hard time identifying this shrub. At first we thought lavender, but the leaves aren't the same at all, these are more fern-like, and a bit silvery. There are purple buds too. I would love to have this in my garden, please help!

Definitely PURPLE buds, right? Cause I have Wormwood that grows similar to that, but has yellow buds/flowers.

Maybe Russian Sage (Perovskia)?
My Russian Sage was overwhelmed by another plant before I could rescue it and isn't growing anywhere near as robustly as yours, but it kind of looks like it.

Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, I can't see the individual leaves on the plant well enough to attempt an ID. Perhaps one of our other members will recognize it, though. You also might be able to ID it by looking through Sunset's Western Garden Book. If you don't have a copy, I'm sure your local library will.

Nice to have you with us! :)
