Need design help for shed/garage

I just finished painting my shed and now I want to landscape the left side and front. To the right we planted a hydrangia but am thinking to extend the flowerbed to the front right on the garage. This is a shade/ partial sun as the sun rises from behind the shed. In a heavy rain storm water sits and the area remains wet for days after always staying moist and never dry, due to lake of sun. SO. Any ideas on plants, bushes, flowers? I live in Pennsylvania and my goal is to also have some green in this area during the winter.

You might consider Itea (Virginia Sweetspire), Clethra (Summersweet), Rhododendron viscosum (Swamp Azalea), and Ilex glabra (Inkberry Holly). All are shrubs that tolerate wet feet and part shade.

I like the look of those.
Just don't want them to get too big.
I plan to add flowers and maybe a narrow path with a small bench or bird bath in the back.. a nook I suppose.

What part of PA do you live? Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve will be having their annual Native Plant Sale starting this weekend and the next, where they're likely to be selling the suggested shrubs.

I'm in Montgomery County, PA.

I have a few spots to check out locally first.
One place is my parents yard for Hostas etc.

Pinelands suggestion will need to be purchased.

Any thoughts on plant layout for the left side area?
Any particular fowers that group well with plants.
I like the Mountain laurel and Azalea.

One thing I need to cautious of is avoiding poisionous plants for my Pug.
