Can seedlings "un-harden" once hardened?

Just like the title says, when you put your seedlings out to harden them, can you 'un-harden' them by bringing them back in for too long a time?

Yup. You are trying to get them adapted to outdoor conditions, the amount of sunlight, wind, rain etc. If you bring them back in for very long (not like over night, like a week) they start losing that adaptation and you have to re-start the hardening process.

Absolutely. In fact, the hardening off process is used in reverse to bring houseplants back indoors after they have spent the summer out in the fresh air.
