Help, I have no idea what this beautiful flower is

I have These beautiful white flowers growing in my garden in what looks like a mini tree ( pics of it here

Click photos link on page for more pics of the tree , Tree is about 3 feet tall was here when we moved in 2 yrs ago and just bloomed this year If anyone knows what it is PLEASE let me know

Although it is hard to tell because the leaves are not fully open, and there is not a photo of the flower straight on of the centre, I suspect that your little "tree" may be an azalea. There are hundreds of varieties though, so I could not tell you which one. If you could send a more straight on photo of the flower, it may help.

Yes you are doing it just right!!
A couple of more questions. I'm sorry I'm not just jumping out with the answer, but not being able to be right there to answer my own questions, I have to get information first.
Does the flower have a scent? What is it like - sweet, musky,.....
I am assuming by the photo that the leaves drop for winter - correct?
What size are the mature leaves, and are they glossy, thick, thin, dark whatever?
The photo straight on of the flower really did help.

The flower has very little scent right now it is a kind of sweet scent, the leaves are thin and an oblong shape very light green with traces of tan . yes it loses all its leaves in the winter. this is the most I have seen it bloom as this is only the second summer I have lived here, Last summer it bloomed 1 flower and stopped. the branches the very light as u can see in the pics on the website. If you need I can post pic of the leaves .. again think you

So far biggest leaves are about an inch long and pretty narrow .not sure if they are all fully mature yet.

I also have 2 of these plants in my yard and planted them and found it to be a beautiful flowering bush. I planted one under my kitchen window and the fragrance is truly pleasant.

this looks like a bllom from the star magnolia

I was going to say Magnolia but not 100% sure.
