Yellow Leaves on Hydrangeas

I just planted my garden for the first time this year, now that its fall my hydrangeas leaves have turned yellow and are falling off, is that supposed to happen? I can't help but worry.
Thanks

Not to worry Jason. All part of life's rich pageant (as far as hydrangea goes).

Want to make sure you get blooms for next spring? Wrap those sticks in burlap soon...

Don't forget the hydrangea page here! We're proud to be one of the most searched sites on the web...

Scott,
So sorry not to include the info that is available right here. I become a 'creature of habit' and just seem to go to that one site. I have now bookmarked the info from here as well!

Jason,
Glad you are feeling good about it! Stay warm!

We are glad to help, Jason...

All is forgiven Newt. You have to do a lot worse than that for me to fire you...
