Should I thin my swiss chard and kale?

Hello all, I have kale and swiss chard planted in some containers and was wondering if I should thin them out? If so how should I space them? Thanks

Yes, definitely. You can thin by eating. Pull the little plants and eat them as baby greens. So thinning by eating, you gradually create more and more space between the remaining plants; you don't have to do all the thinning at once. As the remaining plants get bigger, you will be creating more space between. Chard and kale are big plants when full grown. You should end up with at least 6" space all around each plant, but you can take your time getting there.
