I got free hostas!

This lady was giving away away her hostas! They are big and beautiful! Totally worth the 15 min or so drive.
I asked her why she wanted them gone and she said they were there when she moved in years ago and they're just not hosta people.
Score one for me.

I'll add pics later if I can.

Make friends with gardeners! Anyone who grows hostas and has for more than a couple years, likely has hostas to give away. They keep multiplying, so you have to either keep spreading them around to more places or give some away. Same with a number of other plants (daylilies and iris for sure).

Yeah I see a lot of day lillies and irises too. I've gotten a few actually. And managed to kill most of the day lillies. I suck. lol.

Re: I got free hostas!

My neighbor gave me some free ones today, I dug them up and one of my other neighbors dug a hole and the hostas just fell in there exact! I watered it really good to reduce transplant shock. They are the ones with white edges.
