How Late Can Hosta Bulbs Be Planted?

Tue Sep 29, 2009 12:12 pm

-- I am in Georgia -- I think it is area 7b?

I bought some hosta bulbs -- and I am worried about how late I can plant them for them to come up next year. It is taking me much longer than expected to get the area cleared out and ready for planting.

Does anyone know how late I can wait to plant them?

Thanks,

Silvia

As long as you have a few weeks (say a month to be safe) before frost comes so that they can establish some roots, should be ok.
