Minarette apple trees - Soil Needs & How to Grow?
Has anyone grown these ? If so a) what types b) in the soil or pots c) what yield did you get ? d) how quickly e) what rootstock are they ?
Hi Southlondongardener,
You probably have your answers by now, but I thought I'd share what I've read. I was thinking of planting these at one time. I've read they do better with flowering and fruiting in the ground. In pots they need lots of attention and constant watering and fertilizing. It takes about 3 or 4 years before they start producing. Although they are considered self fertile, it's often best to grow more then one.
Hope that helps.
