Apple Trees & Cross-Pollination

Hello, I purchased two RED DELICIOUS apple trees. Thinking that because they are of the same variety, I would get Red Delicious apples. Will I get ANY apples or do I need to purchase a third tree of a different variety to get apples on my trees? If I do need another variety, what varieties would you recommened at producing the most fruit?

Thanks!

Hi.
Re- your pollination.
If there are any other apple trees, crab apples or ornamental Malus trees near to your garden then you should be fine with your trees.
If not then you may need a pollinator.
All the Delicious family are pretty prolific but do need that help at flower time.
Most varieties will do the job ....but just make sure it is not a Triploid variety, as they are not able to cross-pollinate.
