Hi.
I'm new to this forum, and the reason I joined is because I have something damaging my apple tree. There sort of like a sores on the trunk of the tree, and these sores are filled with some kind of seed-looking like growths.
We noticed this damage only this year. The tree is about 6 years old and has been bearing fruit.
I have pictures of it, but I don't know how to post them here. If anyone would he willing to help me with that, I would greatly appreciate it. I could send pictures to e-mail, or if someone explains me how to do it here, I'll post them here as well.
thank you
LAN
Hi Lan.
I could be way out here but I have a suspicion that this may be the tree suffering from a severe case of excess root initiation.
They look to me like immature root growths trying to break out.
They look like no insect damage that I have ever seen...but very like growths that often occur on the trunk down nearer the graft union.
I will be interested to hear everyones view on it.
