How to Improve Amount of Fruit Growing on Apple Tree

I have an apple tree in my garden, last year it only produced one apple, this year I can see 5 begining to grow (I think!!) It is growing under shade of a very large tree. Should I move it? If so when?? Can I improve its chances of growing more fruit? I would like to be an organic gardener but not sure where to start. Should I use some sort of plant feed? Sorry to ramble on but I have never had a garden with trees and plants in before and I am very excited about lookin gafter it properly. Kind regards. Veggie Lorna

If your tree is small enough to be able to move it, move it in the fall. Give it lots of water when you plant it and dig a hole that is at least twice as deep and twice as wide as the root ball. Add some good compost and some well rotted manure to the hole before planting the tree then fill with a mix of soil and well rotted manure.

Don't forget to give it a good watering. Also, you could add some root stimulant but, I don't think it will be to necessary.
