Growing Hydrangeas in a raised bed

Hi,

I'm thinking about planting out my hydrangea into a raised bed. However, I'm a little worried about the soil level lowering over time.

Would you recommend:
1. Adding more soil on top each year
2. Or, taking out the hydrangea, adding more soil to the bed and re planting
3. Something else

I'm new to gardening and would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you!

"Something else" "... any feedback."

I don't know about your raised bed soil questions but want you to think about hydrangea and their special needs. My soil is very well drained without using raised beds. The hydrangea have a critical need for soil moisture.

With fairly intense sunlight at this location, I have to be careful about site selection for that concern, also. The combination of soil moisture and sunshine and they definitely require a northern exposure with plenty of irrigation water to do well for me.
