Peas dying

As u can see the tops of my peas look good and are producing. But the root area looks like it's dying. Is this a nutrient deficiency or could it be the large amount of rain I've had lately?

Re: Peas dying

Getting up into upper 80's and even 90? Warm nights on top of that? Could be the answer. Sigh. Most people here in the midsouth don't even bother with English peas because of the temps. I did get some from a local farmer at a farmers market the other day and was thrilled!
Have fun!

Re: Peas dying

Most peas and beans will only have a 4-6 week harvest period before they start to decline. Peas are cool weather crops.
Happy gardening in Hawaii. Gardens are where people grow.
