Interesting.
I need to build a new goat barn, ours is due to be retired.
I plan to incorporate a milking and milk "clean" room with sink and refrigeration in mine.
I would guess yours to be...16x24 in outer perimeter? How many goats do you plan on using it, and is this housing, or including milking, or do you have angora's that need shaving? I saw what looked like a pygmy earlier.
I plan to have the goat "barn" and loafing area completely separated from the milking parlor barn.

Angoras, Yes the girls have an Angora buck and a female[ they sold several keeping only these two. they have three pygmys at this time out of the many they had. The area has been enlarged and fenced, if I find pictures I'll post them. The milking area is next to the house, electricity is trenched as is water to a hydrant.
The fenced corral is lighted and the fence is has an electric charger installed after the bear attacks that cost the lives of two precious doe. These pictures are a couple years old I found them going through disks of past photos.

The pitch is necessary for more reasons than just snow... Ask me how I know?
It is not unusual to go to milk and have to convince the doe to get off of the roof!
Yes, the new barn will be too steep to allow the goats to loaf up there, lesson learned.
I have 6 does and a wether of LaMancha goats, and I have 4 angora rabbits for wool gathering.
I keep them kind of together, since they both need good quality hay. The rabbits have their own room in the loafing shed.
Your shed looks really nice, and it is really pretty there. Your address says desert... desert looks like that?
Somehow, I would think of that as mountainous or woodsy definitely not desert.
