First time pepper grower, question on flowers

Hi, first time pepper grower, figured I'd just jump into the deep end. I am currently growing Habaneros, Jalapenos and Shishito peppers. I am noticing that the Shishito have little white flowers that are growing and under some of the flowers I'm seeing new plants growing from the soil.. I'm guessing the flowers dropped the seeds and they started to grow.

Is this bad? Will that new seed have any chance of even growing? should I pull them out and toss them or is it recommended to replant them?

The flowers on the peppers will produce the actual pepper fruits. The seeds come from within the pepper fruits. Did you plant from seed, or did you buy your plants?

Could just be extra seed sprouting later, but if your main plant is already producing flowers, it's likely just weeds.

I'd pull them out.

I bought my Shishito when it was about 4 inches, now it's about a solid 12" or so.. ok so it could be a weed.. I'll give it a week and monitor how it grows.

Thanks for the tip!

Yes, when the little white flower drops off there will (if everything worked right) be a little baby pepper left behind in that spot. The seeds for next year are inside the peppers.

Whatever is growing next to it did not come from the pepper plant.

it's a weed. weeds are ubiquitous! Has nothing to do with the pepper plant.
